Attitude is an outlook that has been shaped by past experiences and our interpretation of them. Self-esteem reflects our overall sense of worth and value which influences our attitude towards ourselves and the world around us. They co-exist and are not fixed traits. They can be developed and improved over time through intentional effort and learned skills. Complementary skills include assertivess, anger management, self-mastery, and social styles and communication.

I am easy to get on with and like

I am able to negotiate my wants

I feel very much in charge of my life

I have the ability to make things happen

I am sure of what I want and go for it

I enjoy being responsible for things

If I think about my life, I feel quite satisfied

I feel I am readily able to overcome adverse circumstances

I believe I can have a positive influence even in the face of beaurocracy

The life I deserve is within my grasp

I enjoy receiving compliments, without allowing myself to become arrogant
