Assertiveness is an ideal state of being, regardless of any situation. Your balanced actions leave others free to be themselves, without prejudicing others. However, it is a journey and not a destination.
Attitude is an outlook which has been shaped by past experiences, whether we are aware of it or not. Key components which will help re-shape attitude are honour and respect, forgiveness and responsibility, and self-talk questions.
Self-mastery is a key skill to helping you get on better with yourself, others, and being in a balanced state. We are all human, and will make many mistakes. We can also not expect to be in a perfect state all the time. However, it is important that we recover as quickly as we can.
Social styles are a further discovery of who we really are, and who others might fundamentally be as well. Obviously, the more you get to know people, more about them is revealed, but social styles is a powerful understanding tool, if applied and practised, to help create and maintain positive relationships with self and others.
